This historical and cozy property has an idyllic home with sheds, barns and outbuildings perfectly situated around the property. Landscaped yards, walking trails and access to forest service hiking and climbing areas, and literally adjacent to the Yellowstone River and Carters Bridge Fishing access.

You can walk with your coffee to fish, hike or climb with the benefit of having direct access to the Allenspur climbing area just out your back door! All of this yet you are 5 minutes from downtown Livingston!

Aside from it's premier location, the home has great access and recreation opportunities for summer and winter adventurers! XC skiing around Livingston and Yellowstone National Park, 35 minutes from Bridger Bowl, fall hunting, summer fishing ... the opportunities are endless!

The home and property is somewhat of a landmark to locals and guests, most knowing the "red house at Carters Bridge," as it is so beautiful and unique it has been seen in films, such as Walking Out. It's also a fantastic wedding venue and often used as a location for portraits and pictures.

If the exterior isn't enough to make you feel like you have stepped into a dream, the inside of this gorgeous and immaculately maintained home will convince you that this is your perfect vacation home. Originally built in 1901, was moved to it's current location and remodeled completely in 1995, the house has all the updates of a modern home, with the feel and coziness of a time gone by - even central air conditioning! No details is spared it's its well stocked with all you'd need for entertaining and feeling like you are at home (but better).

The property is an easy 38 miles to Bozeman Airport, 50 minutes to Yellowstone National Park and 20 minutes to Chico Hot Springs. You have breathtaking mountain views of Absaroka Mountains and Emigrant Peak.

BEDROOM CONFIGURATION:
Master Suite: King bed, attached full bath and double doors that exit to the beautiful back deck
Guest Room 1: 2 Twin Beds OR King (beds can be made to either configuration upon request)
Guest Room 2: 2 extra long twin beds
Guest Rooms 1 & 2 share a full bathroom in the hallway
Bonus Bedroom 3: Off the laundry area on the south end of the home, this bedroom has 1 twin bed.
This bedroom is adjacent to a very nice 1/2 bath off the kitchen and mudroom area.

KITCHEN, LIVING AND OUTDOOR SEATING:
The large kitchen has any small appliance, serving platter, utensil or tool you need to host a wonderful meal. You can serve your guests in the gorgeous 8 person dining area (complete with entertaining linens, napkins, placemats, etc) or on the amazing deck with mountain and hillside views. Outdoor lighting, BBQ grill and table and chairs are found in your al fresco dining area.

The living room is cozy and has seating for the crew. A large flatscreen TV is equipped with direct tv and a roku device for your streaming subscriptions . Games, books and plenty of conversation pieces are found here as well.

The home has a full size washer / dryer, iron and board, mudroom for taking off you fishing gear, AND a bonus full size refrigerator and freezer for extra groceries, bags of ice and refreshments.

THE GROUNDS:
Explore, relax and enjoy the beautifully kept yard with secret trails to the historic outbuildings on the property. You can safely and easily walk on the trails to the national forest access for endless hiking and rock climbing opportunities of Allen Spur and the Absaroka-Beartooth mountains.

The property borders the popular Carters Bridge fishing access where you can fish from the banks or launch a boat. This area is very busy during the day with day floaters and fishing guides.

If you enjoy a good run or walk, you can venture all the way into Livingston along a safe & designated paved biking and running rail that is adjacent to Hwy 89 (4 miles) to town.

    Due to a change in our original rental, where the owners decided to cancel the rental, less then 48 hours before our arrival, We booked this on 6/1/2019. Turnkey Property Management , needed to find us (7 adults) a place to stay. the location was about 20 miles further away from where the original rental was. We were lost for words to say the lease,after getting 7 adults to agree on a location and having the carpet pulled out from under us all.All though the cottage served us, there was compromise that we all needed to was 1.500 sq.feet smaller !!!! than he original rental. that being said,Turnkey P.M..did their best to satisfy us all.
